Increasing Brand Awareness

While word-of-mouth referrals are fantastic for business and increasing brand awareness, there is a real danger that they can dry up pretty quickly.

With that in mind, it’s always good to have a few value-driven marketing tactics in mind.

One is the creation of an e-book or PDF checklist (less work than an e-book) that provides the reader with an example of your expertise.

Either digital publication can be placed on a special landing page and marketed separately from the other products or services that you sell. Take a look at these examples:

  • “The Five Best Practices for Keeping your Wood Floors in Tip-Top Shape,”  from the flooring specialist
  • “An Introduction to Flower Arranging,” from the flower shop owner
  • “10 Common Questions About Maintaining Today’s Vehicles,” from the auto repair business and
  • “10 Statistics for Better Decision Making,” from the career coach.

Bundling Services

Other marketing strategies to attracting new customers and increasing brand awareness include the bundling of several services together at a specially reduced price via a subscription model. You could assure your prospective clients (or current ones, too) that you’ll be adding new services to the subscription program if they agree to sign up on a monthly basis.

Instead of offering one set price, you could offer different pricing tiers to increase membership. If your business is new, you a free tier would be an attractive offer. If the customers who sign up for it are happy with the results, their testimonials should help sell the higher tiers.

MailChimp is a good example of this. Subscription to its “Forever Free Plan” gives customers with 2,000 subscribers or less access to most of its features. Beyond that, there is a fee. If your business has been growing as a result of using MailChimp, then you may not hesitate to pay the extra fee. The value you will gain far outweighs the additional expense you will incur.

While creating an e-book or PDF checklist might seem overwhelming, it doesn’t have to be. Think of it as a way of providing value for the reader. Whatever marketing strategy you choose, view the process as a way to raise awareness of your brand and in the end, you just might gain the additional clients you are hoping to attract.
